Jonathan Henderickson
Attendance Teacher
Jonathan Henderickson has been with the New York City Department of Education for 20 years. He joined the District 28 team in 2022 as an Attendance Teacher, where he supports schools in improving attendance and achieving their district goals.
Henderickson began his career in education as a Teacher of Career and Technical Education in Construction Trades and Technology. He then became the Director of Instructional Technology for Queens South, where he also served as the Interim Acting Data Manager for Districts 27, 28, and 29. In these roles, he managed and coordinated workflows across functions to ensure schools were achieving city-wide and district goals. He led and coordinated training courses based on schools’ technological needs and ensured the smooth implementation of instructional technology across all three geographical districts.
Henderickson continues to bring his passion for teaching, technology, data, and education to District 28 as an Attendance Teacher. He leads with empathy and a strong belief in all students achieving their highest potential.
