Kate Odikaesieme
Instructional Lead - Science
Kate Nkilika Odikaesieme received a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences and an MBA in Finance from the University of Nigeria. Kate began her educational career as a substitute teacher in NYCDOE. As a fully appointed teacher, Kate taught Earth and General Science at John Jay High School in Brooklyn. Soon after, she became a new teacher mentor for math and science teachers. Eventually, Kate started at the Queens South Borough Central Office as an Instructional Lead in science. Since then, Kate has supported K-12 schools with science instruction. As an instructional lead in D28, Kate supports K-8 science teachers to make science teaching and learning experiential while helping D28 students develop an aptitude for designing solutions to the myriads of problems besieging humanity.
Kate received her certificate in Educational Leadership from the Center for Integrated Teacher Education’s (CITE) Educational Leadership program.
