Dr. Laris Stone
Academic Intervention Service Coordinator
Laris Stone began her career in education as a teacher in District 32 and has since held various roles, including cluster teacher, instructional coach, new teacher mentor, Instructional Leadership Team and a School Leadership Team member. Additionally, she served as Chapter Leader for the United Federation of Teachers. As Academic Intervention Service Coordinator, Stone supports instruction tailored to the unique literacy needs of all learners.
Stone holds a diploma in Teacher Education, Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, a Master of Science in Literacy, and an Advanced Certificate in Educational Administration. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Literacy Education at Nova Southeastern University.
Strone is strongly dedicated to early literacy acquisition. She prioritizes student engagement, differentiation and using data to inform instruction.
