District Attendance Coordinator
Matthew Goodman has been with the NYCDOE for the past 20 years. He started teaching mathematics in middle school for 13 years within District 27, additionally serving the school as the UFT Chapter Leader for 8 years. He served on the CSD27 District Leadership Team before moving into educational administration as an Assistant Principal at P.S. 253Q, which he held for 6 years. Then, Goodman functioned as an acting principal within District 28, where he now serves as the Director of Attendance.
His passion for education stems from a long lineage of educators, in and out of the NYCDOE. With a clear belief that all educators can have an impact on students and their families. He leads with empathy and a strong belief in all students achieving their highest potential.
