Marlene Linen
Instructional Lead-Special Education
Marlene Linen joined the ranks of New York City Public School Teachers as a NYCDOE Teaching Fellow. She earned her Masters of Education from LIU Brooklyn and her Masters of Educational Leadership from Baruch College. Marlene served as a high school ELA teacher certified to teach students with disabilities in her initial years of service. She has since served at the District-level in the role of an Instructional Lead. As an Instructional Lead she has coached and consulted school building leaders and their teams with Special Education Instruction & Compliance. Marlene affectionately refers to being an educator as a “legacy profession” and remains passionate about building capacity for culturally relevant instruction that engages learners of varied experiences.
