Academic Intervention Specialist Coordinator

Y.RodneyYvonne Rodney brings over 30 years of dedicated experience in education, with a strong focus on promoting student achievement and instructional excellence—particularly in the area of literacy instruction.

Throughout her career, Ms. Rodney has served in a variety of impactful roles, including ENL (English as a New Language) teacher, Master Teacher, Instructional/Literacy Coach, Universal Literacy Coach, and Literacy Collaborative Coach. In each of these positions, she has demonstrated deep expertise in literacy development and a consistent ability to drive measurable improvements in student outcomes. She currently serves as the Academic Intervention Services (AIS) Coordinator for District 28. Ms. Rodney is a proud graduate of St. Joseph's Teachers College, Touro College, and the College of Saint Rose. She holds two master’s degrees, one in Teacher Education and another in Literacy. She is dually certified in Common Branch (Elementary Education) and Literacy.
